We understand that the cost of programs like Oxbow is difficult for many families to afford. We work very hard to make Oxbow possible for families of all income levels by offering need and merit-based scholarships. Around 50% of Oxbow families receive some level of scholarship, ranging from small merit awards to full need-based scholarships.
Tuition
All-inclusive tuition for the Oxbow Summer Art Institute (6 weeks) is $16,000. Limited scholarships are available for summer. Tuition covers room and board, classes, art supplies, books, field trips, meals, visiting artist events, and all core elements of the Oxbow experience. Families are able to use 529 savings plans to pay for private high schools, including Semester Schools like The Oxbow School.
The Oxbow School opens the door to a myriad of opportunities and is a springboard for a student's educational future. Many parents credit Oxbow for their child's success in gaining admission and earning scholarships from their top choice colleges.
Need-Based Scholarships
Oxbow offers a wide range of need-based financial aid to enable access to our program for students of all backgrounds. Our ability to provide financial aid is thanks to generous contributions from donors.
The Oxbow School uses School and Students Services (SSS) to process financial aid applications. It is a service of the National Association of Independent Schools. SSS provides schools with an estimated amount each family can contribute to educational expenses. Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and we work closely with families to assist with funding.
Those students interested in applying for scholarships need to request financial aid when filling out our part-one online application.
To begin your financial aid application please visit SSS by NAIS. The Oxbow school code is 1962. In cases of divorce or separation, each parent should complete the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS).

Merit Scholarships
The Oxbow School is able to offer limited merit-based scholarships for those families who may not qualify for need-based aid. These scholarships range from $500 to $3,500. Applicants interested in merit-based scholarships are required to write a statement about what qualities they have to contribute to the Oxbow community and what they hope to gain from the Oxbow experience. This statement should be one page, include the student’s first and last name and be submitted by email to the Admissions Department at admissions@demiryapinsaat.com.
Insurance
Students are required to have health insurance to participate in our program.
Spending Money
Many families provide their student with spending money. While optional, it can enhance the 6-week summer.
